Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5 July 2026

Welcome to Tunnio. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

What Tunnio is, and is not

Tunnio is an app for managing your own VPNs on iPhone, Apple TV and Android. It helps you import, organise, and connect the networks you run yourself. It is not a VPN provider: we operate no servers, we provide no VPN endpoints, and your traffic never passes through us.

You bring the config for a network you run yourself (WireGuard today). The connection runs directly from your device to whatever server your config points to, using the operating system's native VPN networking. You are responsible for the correctness of your configuration, for the server you connect to, and for ensuring that your use of it is lawful where you are.

License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tunnio on devices you own or control, for your own use, in line with these Terms and with the terms of the app store you obtained it from. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit the app except where the law expressly permits.

Subscriptions, trial, billing and cancellation

Tunnio offers a free trial and a paid subscription (Tunnio Pro). Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, not by us. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase, and a subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and see any applicable trial terms, in your platform's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Tunnio lawfully and only for legitimate purposes. You are responsible for the configurations you import and the servers you connect to. You must not use the app to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, or in a way that violates the terms of your network, your connectivity provider, or the app store.

No warranty

Tunnio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration or server. Because your configurations and keys are stored only on your device, we cannot recover them for you if they are lost (for example, if you uninstall the app or your device fails).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including loss of connectivity, loss of locally stored data, or anything arising from the configuration you supply or the server you choose to connect to. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Third-party services

Tunnio relies on third parties whose own terms apply to your use of them: Apple and Google for distribution and billing, and the WireGuard server you connect to, which is chosen by you and is not operated by us. Anonymous, aggregate analytics use Google Firebase as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time, and we are not obligated to maintain any particular feature. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the app is offered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live are not affected by this.
